Here's a free music theory practice test

Hey Reader,

I hope you had a nice weekend. It was a very wet and miserable one here in the UK. But we had another Thanksgiving lunch with some American friends up in London, which was great fun.

Anyway, this week, I've got another free resource to send you: one of our music theory practice papers!

But first, I just wanted to remind you that there are less than 18 hours left to save in our Cyber Monday sale, which ends TODAY.

Here's a reminder of what we've got on offer:

Our sale ends tonight (Monday, 27th November) At 23:59 PST so download now to save up to 56%.

Count down to 2023-11-28T08:00:00.000Z

Right, back to our free resource this week.

One of the first resources I ever made and uploaded to this site was a practice exam. I was making these to help my students to help prepare for their ABRSM exams.

That was over nine years ago, so they've changed a bit since then with different syllabus changes and updates.

But I thought I'd send you one of them for free!

Download my free grade 1 practice exam.

This one is paper A from my Grade One pack and is aimed at beginners.

Just print it out and use it with your students, or test your beginner theory knowledge.

If you're looking for something a bit harder, then it's part of my Music Theory Practice Exam Bundle, which is currently on sale!

In it, you get 35 PDF practice exams to help students test their knowledge and comprehension of different music theory topics.

Based on the ABRSM syllabus, each pack contains between 7 and 9 questions and closely resembles the real exam papers.

You, of course, also get all the model answers to mark yourself, as well as two copies of each paper: one using American terminology like quarter notes, measures, and half steps, and another using British terms like crotchets, bars, and semitones.

If you download them today, you can save 55% and get them for only $105 $47.

Have a great week!
